STANDARD CONDITIONS OF HIRE

  1. It is the responsability THE HIRER to discover and adhere to any COVID guidelines issued by the government
  2. THE HIRER is responsible for the conduct of those present at the event and for any damage to the hall and its contents
  3. THE HIRER is responsible for safety of those present at the event.
  4. THE HIRER undertakes to ensure that the hall is only occupied for the period of the hire which includes all setting up and clearing up time.
  5. THE HIRER will be responsible for the adult supervision of Parties or Events arranged exclusively for young people under 18 years of age and must remain in the Hall during the period of the booking.
  6. THE HIRER shall not use the premises for any purpose other than that described in the Hiring Agreement and shall not sub-hire or use the premises or allow the premises to be used for any unlawful purpose or in any unlawful way, nor do anything or bring onto the premises anything which may endanger the same or any insurance policies in respect thereof nor allow the consumption of liquor thereon without the permission of the Committee. Permission for the consumption of alcohol will not be granted for Parties or Events arranged exclusively for young people under 18 years of age.
  7. THE HIRER shall be responsible for obtaining such licences as may be needed.
  8. AN INDEMNITY DEPOSIT may be required to be paid by THE HIRER.
  9. THE HIRER will be liable for the full cost of any damage caused
  10. IN THE EVENT that THE HIRER exceeds the agreed hire period.
    • If the period used extends beyond midnight. THE HIRER will forfeit the deposit.
    • Otherwise THE HIRER will be charged against the deposit at a rate of double the normal rate
  11. The HIRER shall be responsible to ensure that numbers in the hall are with the limits of 100 (main hall) or 50 (Oak Room)
  12. IF THE HIRER wishes to cancel the booking any refund shall be at the discretion of the Committee.
  13. AT THE END of the hiring, THE HIRER shall be responsible for switching off all lights and leaving the premises and surrounds in a clean and tidy condition, properly locked and secured unless directed otherwise and any contents, temporarily removed from their usual positions, properly replaced, and any materials or equipment brought into the Hall removed otherwise the Committee shall be at liberty to make an additional charge
  14. IN THE EVENT of the Hall or any part thereof being rendered unfit for the use for which it has been hired the Committee shall not be liable to THE HIRER for any resulting loss or damage whatsoever.
