Health and Safety conditions for hire

The contents pertain to the SAFETY of all HIRERS and hence should be read and followed by ALL users.

  1. The Hirer is responsible for the safety of those present.
  2. The Hirer will, prior to the function, check, log and sign the actions listed in the PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT LICENCE LOG BOOK. (Kept on a kitchen shelf next to the main hatch opening.)
  3. The Hirer will control the attendance numbers to ensure that the Hall capacity is not exceeded.
    Main Hall (160 in total) AND that for "Closely seated Audiences" (Max 98) "Tables and chairs" (Max. 88), arrangements plans set out on Table Layout and Close Seating Layout
    Oak Room (60 in total) AND that for "Closely seated Audiences" (Max 60) "Tables and chairs" (Max. 40), arrangements plans set out on Table Layout and Close Seating Layout
    If you do not follow our table plan it is the hirers responsability to ensure
    • That Fire exits are not blocked
    • That there is a clear gangway to the fire exits at least 1.05m wide
    • That the aisles between tables are at least 0.8m
  4. The Hirer should be aware of the emergency procedures. (These are displayed on the notice board in the foyer of the Hall and appended below)
